Greece, 2003: A charter expedition aboard the Sylphe with Captain Roland is sure to be a rewarding time for the experienced sailor and the novice alike. This characterful and well-appointed classic cruiser poses a fine challenge to keep the most savvy onboard complement engaged, while for those new initiates (like myself) Roland's subtle approach to team involvement will give everyone an important role in the success, safety and enjoyment of the Cruise. The natural, unique and personable qualities of both the Sylphe and her Captain are well complemented by the heartbreaking beauty and light of the Greek Mediterranean waters. To anyone who has spent any length of time in Greece and has inexplicably fallen under her mysterious spell, I say this: you have not felt the joy nor the Weltschmerz of Greece fully until you have plied its waters and harnessed its winds. And landfall experiences figure large in great collections and memories, as much as the sailing itself: Captain Roland's native facilities and familiarity with the many ports, coves and villages on our itinerary means an opportunity to meet and share good times with friends and fellow travelers.

Griekenland 2003: Rust, ruimte, zon, water, salades, rose, zeilen, eilandjes en Roland. De perfecte formule voor een paar dagen rust en energie opdoen op Sylphe.

Greece, 2003: Indescribably beautiful - outrageously fun, wonderful in every way and harder to leave than any place I've ever had to leave... The colours - the water - the wind, the trees, the water, the water, the water...Great people - too much to drink every night - great food - laughing till it hurt, sleeping on deck when we felt like it - diving off the boat into sometimes the most pristine deep blue waters, other times turquoise shimmering water - soft powder like beaches - fun people, virtually no tourists other than Italians, Greeks and a few Dutch ... Enough to make me believe in God...Star filled nights and when we'd look to our right or left - in front or behind there was nothing to see but the moon and stars and nothing to feel but the breeze and salt on our skin and the sound of silence... Speechless! Our guides, my old friend Marit and my new friend Roland (aka Popeye) made our trip magical - much of the time we had no idea where we were going and that added to the magic - it was full of surprises..."

Cannes, 2003: It was truly an enjoyable experience living among the world's elite in such beautiful surroundings. I've never sailed much, but was totally thrilled with the experience you provided. My 5 kids and my wife saw the picture of me half way up the mast and they couldn't believe I did that. I will always think of the wonderful time on the French Riviera spent on Sylphe.

Croatia, 2002: Having fantasized for many years about owning a classic boat; to be privileged to be allowed a whole week to play out my dream, sailing the Adriatic coast in perfect weather, on such a boat as Sylphe, was the most perfect holiday of my life. It gave my girls their first real taste of life at sea and those kind of memories will live with them forever. Roland's affable nature and relaxed but professional manner all combined to our feeling absolutely confident in a well run ship and relaxed in his company. When we first met Roland in Corsica, he invited us aboard. I warned him that my wife felt seasick just looking at the sea. He said " On Sylphe, you won't feel sick, because you will enjoy yourself and if you are enjoying yourself you won't feel sick." I'm not sure whether that was an order or just Dutch logic, I don't know - but it worked and we are coming back next year just to make sure that Sylphe is real and it wasn't all a dream.

Griekenland 2001: .......
